It's Christmas Time!

Woodbridge, New Jersey Family Photographer

Christmas is almost upon us and it's time to start planning your photo sessions and outfits! Below I'll link my Pinterest board for some outfit inspiration and I'll also link my blog post if you're interested in booking a session with me. :) Here are a few tips to follow when planning your outfits!

avoid bright red

It's Christmas and I know the first color you probably lean towards is a beautiful bright Christmas red but the brighter the colors in your outfits, the harsher it will look in your photos. That goes for any red Buffalo plaid shirts too. If you're planning on going red, definitely go for a deeper red color.

coordinate

For photos, I would suggest coordinating and not matching exactly. If you and your loved ones all planned to wear matching plaid shirts or matching white for instance, you might want to rethink that. As soon as you stand next to each other, you'll end up blending together too much. And I want you each to stand out!

go for comfort

Your Christmas mini session is most likely going to take place outside so try to avoid heels if possible. The last thing you would want is to be in the middle of taking a photo and then all of a sudden you start sinking in the dirt! There's also a chance of it being chilly out so I'm all for for the cute chunky sweaters and jeans! And I'm always a fan of cute knit hats for Christmas photos. :)
